APN Pharmacology Course

The APN Pharmacology Course from Seton Hall University’s College of Nursing is designed for advanced practice nurses seeking to deepen their pharmacological knowledge and enhance clinical confidence. This comprehensive course provides advanced practice nurses with up-to-date pharmacology content essential for safe, effective, and patient-centered care. Taught by expert pharmacists, the program emphasizes clinical application, helping participants connect pharmacologic principles to real-world decision-making.

Learning Objectives

During this course, participants will:

  • Review core pharmacologic principles relevant to advanced practice nursing.
  • Gain valuable insights into alcohol use disorder, atrial fibrillation, 2026 Vaccine Update: Pediatric and Adult, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Bipolar Disorder, and Depression. 
  • Discuss mechanisms of action, indications, contraindications, and side effects of commonly prescribed medications.
  • Explore considerations for medication selection across diverse patient populations.

Both modalities provide the same high-quality learning experience and opportunities to engage with expert faculty.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Apply advanced pharmacologic principles to clinical decision-making
  • Evaluate medication therapies for common chronic and acute conditions
  • Enhance patient safety through evidence-based medication management

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive 5.25 Contact Hours.
