Web accessibility refers to the inclusive practice of making websites usable by people of all abilities and disabilities. When sites are correctly designed, developed, and edited, all users can access information and functionality equally.

Seton Hall is committed to providing a website accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website, and in doing so, adhere to many of the available standards, including the global Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0). The University currently partners with Siteimprove to audit our website and provide an inclusive experience for visitors.

Achieving accessibility compliance is a continuous process, and we monitor our site and third-party sponsored communications and work to resolve issues as quickly as possible. Michael Hyland has been designated as the University’s Electronic and Information Accessibility Coordinator and can be reached at [email protected]. Digital Accessibility Committee

Seton Hall is committed to promoting an electronic environment that is welcoming and responsive to everyone. In response to outreach by the Office of Civil Rights and the Department of Education, the University's Electronic Accessibility Coordinator has formed the University's Digital Accessibility Committee. This committee is responsible for:

  • reviewing compliance and updating our Corrective Action Plan
  • coordinating all external and campus based training opportunities
  • making recommendations on budget
  • creating and advising on relevant policies
  • providing input on communications to the University community
