Classical Studies
Admission of new students majoring in Classical Studies is currently suspended.
Many modern ideas about politics, law, war, sexuality and even athletics come from the ancient Greeks and Romans. Our Classical Studies majors dive deep into those ancient civilizations, while at the same time sparking new ideas and understanding of the present. They study the historical, literary, linguistic and religious elements of Greece and Rome and choose from two concentrations: language or culture. Qualified students may also join the Theta Delta chapter of Eta Sigma Phi — the national honor society for classical studies.
