Religion

The minor in religion offers students the opportunity to study religion, theology, and ethics with an interdisciplinary focus. The minor in religion allows students to focus on topics such as Catholic social teaching; war and peace; medical ethics; biblical archaeology; theology, religion, and political theory; theology, religion, and race/ethnicity; religion and the environment; interfaith dialogue; religion and gender and women's studies, and much more. The minor in religion is an excellent complement to any major: finance, marketing, diplomacy, political science, history, literature, Middle East and Arabic studies, nursing, and more.

Curriculum

Course Requirements

To earn a minor in Religion, students must complete the following program:  

Two introductory RELS courses (6 credits)
Three 2000 or 3000 level courses (9 credits). (RELS 2411, 2415, and/or 2418 may not count as upper level courses if used to fulfill the introductory level courses)
RELS 2010 Methods in the Study of Religion and Theology (3 credits)

Total: 18 credits
