Important Dates for 2026 Pirates Pitch Startup

CIE will host virtually two skills-building workshops in February to help you to prepare for Pirates Pitch.

  • Introduction to Pirates Pitch Workshop #1
    Wednesday, February 18,  7-8 p.m. 
    Learn about contest procedures and the basics of business-model building.  The meeting will be hosted on Microsoft Teams and recorded.

  • How To Create A Winning Executive Summary Workshop #2
    Wednesday, February 25, 7-8 p.m.

    Learn tips on crafting a video or written business summary that will impress our first round of judges! The meeting will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams and recorded.

Other Important Dates and Deadlines:

  • Tuesday March 10 - Pirates Pitch Applications Deadline. Submit by Midnight
  • Wednesday, March 11  - The 10 Semifinalist Teams Will Be Announced 
  • Monday March 16 – Semifinalist Round Contest 7- 9:30 p.m. Virtually on Microsoft Teams
  • Wednesday March 18 –  Six Finalists Teams Announced
  • Tuesday March 31 – Finalists Business Plans Due by Midnight
  • Wednesday, April 8 – Pirates Pitch Finals in University Center Theater 6:30 -9 p.m. and on livestream.
