Board of Advisors: Janna Laudato, CFA

Former International Consultant and Private Equity Advisor

Ms. Janna Laudato has over 25 years of international consulting and private equity investment experience. Over 13 years, her international consulting experience included project management and new business development with Booz-Allen & Hamilton and Chemonics International. She served as Evaluation Officer at the US Agency for International Development (USAID)/Cairo and participated in evaluations for ACDI/VOCA. In varying roles from 2000 until her retirement, she managed private equity and venture capital investments. From 2006 to 2020, she served as Managing Director and then Advisor to Hauser Private Equity. She identified private equity funds with outstanding performance; conducted extensive due diligence; recommended investments to the Board of Directors; and tracked portfolio performance.

Previously, for the Small Business Administration (SBA), she managed a portfolio of more than 30 private equity, mezzanine, and venture funds with $2 billion in SBA commitments.  She was a member of the International Limited Partners Association (ILPA) and a frequent speaker at industry conferences. After receiving her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter in 2002, she organized private equity programs and then served on the Board of the CFA Society of Washington, DC for 7 years and Secretary from 2015 – 2017.

Ms. Laudato started the George A. Laudato ’63 National Security Fellowship Endowment in memory of her husband, who graduated from Seton Hall and, after retiring in 2011, served on the Board of Seton Hall’s School of Diplomacy and International Relations.

She received an MBA from the University of the Philippines and a BA from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
