Mr. Rajan Pillai is a Partner at Resurgence Capital, LLC. Mr. Pillai serves as Director of Business Development of Nanocrystals Technology L.P. He is a Securities Lawyer, Investment Banker and Entrepreneur. He is a Founder and Director of three technology startups in the semiconductor, nanotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries, of which the semiconductor startup recently sold a significant equity stake to a multibillion dollar semiconductor company. Earlier, Mr. Pillai was involved in the formation and operations of Duramed Pharmaceuticals. He served as Vice President of ANZ Grindlays Bank. Mr. Pillai worked in the merchant banking division of ANZ Grindlays Bank and as a Managing Director at Peregrine Capital Ltd., then Hong Kong's largest investment bank. He has also worked with Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, Delson & Gordon and Kramer Levin, all New York City law firms. He serves as a Director at Free Electron Technology, Inc. Mr. Pillai holds degrees in Physics and Law from Bombay University, and a Master's degree in Law from Harvard Law School, where he was chosen as class valedictorian.
