PhD in Nursing Program: predicted course sequence (part-time) 42 total minimum program credits
Students are expected to continue in a cohort of P/T study (6 credits per semester) thru completion.
Semester 1:

- PHIL 7100 Philosophy of Science (3 credits)
Semester 2:
- NURS 8102 Building Nursing Knowledge (3 credits)
- NURS 8049 Measurement and Evaluation in Nursing Education (3 credits)
Semester 3:
- CPSY 7005 Statistical Theory and Computer Application I (3 credits)
- NURS 8048 Curriculum Development and Teaching in Nursing Education (3 credits)
Semester 4:
- NURS 8701 Quantitative Research Design in Nursing (3 credits)
- CPSY 7006 Statistical Theory and Computer Application II (3 credits)
Begin to develop Candidacy paper & work on over summer
Semester 5:
- NURS 8104 Contemporary Issue in Nursing Research, Practice & Health Policy (3 credits)
- NURS 8702 Qualitative Research Design (3 credits)

Semester 6:
- NURS 8703 Qualitative Research Analysis (3 credits)

Semester 8:
- NURS 9903 Dissertation Seminar II (3 credits)
Continuous Dissertation Advisement with Chair & Committee thru Dissertation Research to completion. Continuous registration required fall and spring semesters until completion.
