Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology Lenten Reflection Series

Passing the Chalice

“Can You Drink This Cup?” Accompanying the Lord Through Lent.

Matthew 20: 22-23

Join us as we continue our  Lenten tradition of daily meditations. This  year, our reflections will be inspired by  Matthew 20: 22-23, “Can You Drink This Cup?”

Day by day, we will share meditations and prayers that, with God’s grace, will help us enter into the Lenten season in prayerful ways. We will focus on the meaning of being invited to journey with the Lord in his passion and death. These reflections are brought to you from our Preaching as Hospitality Formation Program here at the Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology.

Written by our administrators, faculty, staff and seminarians, the reflections will be shared through daily emails beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 5, and continuing through Holy Thursday, April 17.  We will also post inspiring excerpts from these reflections on our Instagram and Facebook pages.

During this Lenten season, we also invite you to explore the work of renowned artist Sister Mary of the Compassion, OP (1908-1977).  Several of her powerful drawings are currently on display at Lewis Hall,  and we will be highlighting them in our posts and communications. This image and the images in our emails are some of Sister Mary’s striking drawings.
