A Technological Advantage
At Seton Hall we provide our students with a cutting-edge technological advantage. All undergraduates at Seton Hall receive a state-of-the-art laptop or tablet to ensure that students have access to the latest technology. Hands-on experience with the newest devices helps students excel in their studies and learn important skills for use in their professional careers.
The laptop or tablet comes fully loaded with programs that enrich learning across the curriculum: software for statistical analysis and math, for health-care and patient-care simulation, for collaborative learning projects, research, and data collection. We also offer extensive training, a 24/7 help desk, and a certified repair center right on campus.
Our campus is fully wireless — students can use their devices in the classroom, lounging on the Green, in residence halls or sipping on coffee at Dunkin Donuts. The cost of the laptop or tablet, and its software and support, are included in University tuition and fees. Upon graduation, students can keep their mobile devices.
Seton Hall University is an Adobe Creative Campus – the first of its kind in New Jersey. Students, faculty, and employees on all three Seton Hall campuses will have free access to all Adobe Creative Cloud apps and services. This enables them to create amazing images, graphics, publications, videos, animations, web and mobile experiences, and more. As an Adobe Creative Campus, Seton Hall is part of a select group of colleges and universities that are driving the future of digital literacy within the global higher education community. Recognizing the value of teaching creative and persuasive digital communication skills, the University actively advances these skills throughout all curricula to help our students succeed in the classroom and gain an edge in the competitive modern workplace.
The University’s information technology program is much more than a free computer and software; it has changed the way we teach and the way students learn. Our faculty integrates technology into the curriculum to enhance the learning experience, making classes more engaging and applicable to real-world situations and enabling students to think innovatively, be technologically savvy, and present an impressive skill set to future employers.
