We welcome both aspiring healthcare professionals and those seeking career advancement. MHA students work in diverse settings — hospitals, healthcare systems, assisted-living facilities, insurance organizations, pharmaceutical companies and the military — fostering dynamic class discussions and valuable networking opportunities.
The full-time, on-campus format is completed in 21 months, with a part-time option available upon advisor’s approval. Classes are held in the early evenings to accommodate busy professionals.

Admissions Requirements
Admission to Seton Hall's MHA program is competitive. Applicants are evaluated based on their academic record, personal essay, recommendation letters and work experience.
While many applicants are entry- to mid-level professionals in healthcare and related fields, highly motivated individuals with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university are also encouraged to apply.

Curriculum Overview
This 42-credit program delivers a rigorous, industry-relevant curriculum, revised annually based on student feedback and emerging healthcare trends. Our coursework provides a comprehensive foundation in management and leadership — preparing students to guide healthcare organizations through a rapidly evolving industry.
The curriculum integrates general management principles with healthcare-specific applications, emphasizing analytical and decision-making skills essential for effective leadership.
The MHA curriculum develops core competencies critical to today’s healthcare managers. Coursework covers key topics including strategic leadership, population health, healthcare data analytics, financial management, healthcare ethics and health policy. While degree requirements are listed numerically in the catalogue, they must be completed in the prescribed sequence.
