The online Master of Science in Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (M.S.N., A.G.N.P.) program prepares you to practice as a nurse practitioner serving adult to elderly populations in an acute setting.
The A.G.N.P. program is for students with their B.S.N. looking to advance their career in nursing. As a graduate of this program, you will be able to provide a range of healthcare services that promote wellness, prevent illness and manage the health and illness needs of adults across their lifespan. Students graduate prepared to take the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care certification exams through ANCC as well as the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) exam.

Admissions Requirements
For students applying to the M.S.N., Adult-Gerontology Acute Care program, one year of professional nursing experience in an acute care setting is required at the time of application. These individuals should have a B.S.N. from an accredited college or university and be looking to advance their nursing careers.

Curriculum Overview
The 48-credit M.S.N., A.G.N.P. Acute Care program prepares graduates to provide a range of healthcare services that promote wellness, prevent illness and manage health and illness needs of adults across the lifespan.
The program consists of three, four-credit clinical courses as well as nine clinical courses. Students can take up to two courses per semester. Clinical hours are met through the four practicums. The Acute Care program requires 675 total hours. Practicum 1 requires 135 clinical (and seminar) hours. Practica II, III, and IV require 180 clinical hours each. The curriculum meets AACN/CCNE/NONPF requirements for a dual ANP/GNP program.
