The online Master of Science in Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (M.S.N., A.G.N.P.) program prepares you to practice as a nurse practitioner serving adult to elderly populations in primary care setting.
The A.G.N.P. program is for students with their B.S.N. looking to advance their career in nursing. As a graduate of this program, you will be able to provide a range of healthcare services that promote wellness, prevent illness and manage the health and illness needs of adults across their lifespan. Students graduate prepared to take the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care certification exams through AANPCB.

Admissions Requirements
For recent B.S.N. graduates, acceptance will be granted post NCLEX passing by August 15 of the year admitted to the program; proof of one year full-time (direct patient care) employment is required prior to the start of practicum courses (year 2).

Curriculum Overview
The 48-credit M.S.N., A.G.N.P. Primary Care program prepares graduates to provide a range of healthcare services that promote wellness, prevent illness and manage health and illness needs of adults across the lifespan.
The program consists of three, four-credit clinical courses as well as nine clinical courses. Students can take up to two courses per semester. Clinical hours are met through the four practicums. The Primary Care program requires 600 total hours. Practicum 1 requires 120 clinical hours. Practica II, III, IV require 160 clinical hours each. The curriculum meets AACN/CCNE/NONPF requirements for a dual ANP/GNP program.

Are there set times to attend my classes?
Not for the online course work. You will have specific assignment deadlines and test dates, but you can complete your online coursework at times that are convenient for you. Immersion experiences have a separate schedule.
