- American Literature I and II fulfill 6 credits of the A&S core curriculum Humanities requirement.
- General electives may also be used to pursue a second major or minor.
- Check the list of English electives that also count for Core III; it is posted in
the English Majors Bb course shell.
- Students who are planning to graduate with English Honors must take two additional
advanced electives. These should be taken in the senior year in place of General Electives.
- Student planning to pursue the BA/MA should not take advanced electives until after
meeting with the Department Chairperson or Director of Graduate Studies.
- Classes and program requirements are subject to change. Students who enroll at Seton
Hall will follow the catalogue guidelines for the year they matriculate. Catalogues
for each year are generally released in the late summer.
