Seton Hall Esports Wins Two BIG EAST Titles, Advances Five Teams to Nationals

After a strong spring regular season, Seton Hall University Esports carried its momentum into the BIG EAST Esports Playoffs, capturing two conference championships and advancing all five varsity teams to national postseason competition.

Rocket League Claims BIG EAST Championship

Seton Hall’s Rocket League team captured the BIG EAST title with a 4–3 victory over University of Connecticut (UConn) in an exciting seven-game series. The Game 7 win secured the championship and earned the team an automatic bid to May Madness at the Collegiate Esports Commissioners Cup (CECC), one of the premier collegiate esports events in North America, to be held in Arlington, Texas.

League of Legends Secures Third BIG EAST Title 

Seton Hall’s League of Legends also claimed a BIG EAST Championship with a finals victory over St. John’s University, 2–1. The win advances the Pirates, now ranked among the Top 32 teams in North America, to the College League of Legends (CLOL) national championship contention. The title marks Seton Hall’s third BIG EAST championship in League of Legends.

Seton Hall Esports Sends All Teams to National Competition

Seton Hall University delivered strong performances across all five varsity teams during the BIG EAST playoffs. The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team finished second, narrowly falling to St. John in the championship match, while both Overwatch and VALORANT placed fourth after competing in third-place matches against UConn.

Following conference play, all Seton Hall varsity teams advance to the PlayVS Collegiate Playoffs, taking place throughout April and early May, while Rocket League will also compete at the CECC May Madness national tournament in Arlington, Texas.

With two BIG EAST championships, a runner-up finish and all five teams advancing to national competition, Seton Hall Esports continues to build momentum on the collegiate stage. The Pirates now turn their focus to national playoff competition, with opportunities for additional championships and recognition ahead.
