Graduate Studies Financial Aid Resources

The Office of Financial Aid is dedicated to assisting students with any issues that may arise throughout the financial aid process. The majority of graduate students use loans to help fund their education. Several varieties of private, state, and federal loan programs are available.

Applying for Aid

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. To be considered for the full range of financial aid available, students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is available as early as October. Seton Hall must be indicated as a recipient of the FAFSA to be considered for financial aid packages. Seton Hall's school code is 002632.

Results Received

After 2-3 weeks following the submission of the FAFSA, students should expect to hear from the federal government. The federal government will send a Student Aid Report (SAR), which includes an Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Once the SAR is received, students should carefully review the material and report any missing or inaccurate information directly to the federal government.

Financial Aid Offer

Seton Hall will take the results of the FAFSA and process a financial aid package. Results will be communicated via email to your Seton Hall account. The financial aid package will include all forms of aid (institution grants and scholarships, state or federal grants, work study, and student loans) known at the time. If a student's information changes or becomes eligible for other aid, such as an outside scholarship from an agency or foundation, it is the student's responsibility to notify Seton Hall's Office of Financial Aid.
