New Adjunct Faculty Join Law Enforcement Executive Leadership Master’s Program

The College of Human Development, Culture, and Media announces the addition of two highly accomplished professionals to the M.A. in Law Enforcement Executive Leadership Program (LEEL) at Seton Hall: Shantae Coppock and Errol Toulon. Both bring decades of experience and deep expertise that will enrich our students and community.

Shantae Coppock, Ph.D.

Shantae Coppock joins us with a diverse background in law enforcement and public policy. She currently serves as a deputy sheriff captain with the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office, overseeing multiple units, including Special Operations and Court Facilities. With over 18 years of experience in managing law enforcement operations, Coppock is known for her leadership in fostering organizational wellness and developing peer support teams. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration with a specialization in Criminal Justice, and has taught in higher education, advising numerous graduate students. Coppock’s unique combination of practical and academic expertise will provide invaluable insights into topics ranging from public policy to crisis management.

Errol Toulon, Ed.D., M.B.A.

Sheriff Errol Toulon is the 67th sheriff of Suffolk County, overseeing the largest Sheriff’s Office in New York State. With over 30 years of experience in public safety, Toulon has been at the forefront of innovative law enforcement strategies, particularly in combating gang violence, human trafficking, and the opioid crisis. He holds a doctorate in Educational Administration and a master’s degree in Business Administration. Under his leadership, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office has launched groundbreaking programs like the Human Trafficking Initiative and the Correction Intelligence Center. Toulon’s wealth of practical leadership experience combined with his academic credentials makes him a transformative figure in both law enforcement and public policy.
