Meet the Team

The OIP team warmly welcomes you to Seton Hall. We are ready to assist you in your study abroad and international student needs. Please come in during our office hours or make an appointment to meet with our staff to discuss any questions you may have about the programs offered by OIP.


Mary Kate Naatus, Ph.D.
Associate Provost of Partnerships & Global Initiatives
Dean of Continuing Education; Associate Professor of Marketing
In addition to her faculty role in the Department of Marketing in the Stillman School of Business, Mary Kate oversees the International Center at Seton Hall. Prior to joining the University in January of 2023, Mary Kate was a Professor and Dean of the Guarini School of Business at Saint Peter’s University. Her current research interests include Socially Responsible Marketing, Business Education, Social Media and Small Business Marketing.


Douglas Cantelmo
Director of Study Abroad and Global Engagement
Program Director, Rome Connection
Doug joined the Office of International Programs in 2021. In his role as Director of Study Abroad and Global Engagement, Doug leads the global outbound operations at Seton Hall. Doug is a double alumnus of St. John's University and spent over six years at his alma mater growing, designing and leading immersive study abroad programs on-the-ground in Rome. Beyond Italy, he has traveled through five continents and is excited to share his passion for international education with the Seton Hall community. Doug is here to help every Seton Hall student translate their passions into life-changing study abroad experiences!

Shao Chen (Johanna) Pan-Carr
Director of International Student Services
Johanna joined the Office of International Programs in August 2024. In her role, she leads the operations of the International Student Services. She is passionate about providing support to the international student populations on F-1 and J-1 student visa guidance, cultural adjustments, and programs during their study at Seton Hall as well as to the entire campus community. She serves as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for F-1 regulation and Responsible Officer (RO) for the J-1  regulation related compliance work required by US Immigration. She studied abroad in South Africa. Johanna received her B.A. in Economics from the College of William and Mary and a M.A. in Higher Education Administration from New York University.

Andrea Hundley
International Student Advisor + ESL Coordinator
Andrea joined the Office of International Programs in May 2023. As DSO, Andrea provides support to and advises international students.  Prior to joining Seton Hall, Andrea worked in various capacities in higher education, not-for-profits, and state agencies.  Andrea ‘s study abroad experience includes Spain, Peru, and France.  Her most transformative international experience was serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon, West Africa.  Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family and energetic dog, Serena.  Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Relations from Clark University in Worcester, MA, and a Master of International Relations from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.

Zahir Mooring
Study Abroad Peer Advisor
Zahir joined the Office of International Programs in the spring of 2024. His responsibilities include supporting prospective study abroad students, assisting in program launches, and handling data entry. He has studied abroad in Rome as part of the second Rome Connection cohort, served as a student chaperone in Serbia, and is preparing for a business program in India. After graduation, he plans to pursue a master’s degree in quantitative economics overseas.

Talynn Diaz
Study Abroad Peer Advisor
Talynn joined the Office of International Programs in the spring of 2024. Her responsibilities include managing inbox, supporting administrative and data entry work, and executing Senior Staff directives, team processes, and operations. She studied abroad in Rome During the spring of 2024 through the Rome Connection Program. Upon graduation, she will pursue her J.D. in Corporate Law through Seton Hall’s 3+3 Program.

Nicole Uretzky
Study Abroad Peer Advisor
Nicole joined the Office of International Programs in June 2025. She assists students interested in studying abroad by offering guidance, leading advising sessions, and building new digital platforms for Seton Hall’s expanding offerings. Nicole first studied abroad through the 2025 Rome Connection program and uses that experience to mentor others. She hopes to study abroad again and broaden her knowledge of global opportunities to better support her peers. After graduation, she will pursue her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology through Seton Hall’s 4+2 Program.

Angelina Gonzalo
Graduate Assistant (International Student Services)
After joining OIP in 2022, Angelina has supported the mission of OIP through the implementation of grassroots initiatives geared towards our international students. Among a number of transformative experiences she had at Seton Hall, Angelina participated in the Servant Leadership Experience to Ireland, and, while there, she developed a passion for administrative operations in higher education and has an interest to shape experiential learning programs. More than ever, now a Doctoral student, Angelina is interested in pursuing a career in student advisement, especially working to maximize opportunities for students foreign to the world of higher education.

Jedidiah Saezhong
Student Worker (International Student Services)
After joining the team in November of 2023, Jedd has assisted the international student office from the perspective of an international student. Being an international student who started as a freshman, he has provided firsthand information as to how to assist an international student coming to the United States for the first time. He is a physics major in the engineering program hoping to use his experience from the office in a leadership role within his field.
