U.S. News Ranks Seton Hall B.S.N. Program in Top 17 Percent Nationwide

For the second straight year, Seton Hall University’s College of Nursing is ranked in the top 17 percent of all undergraduate nursing programs nationwide, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. The recognition reaffirms Seton Hall’s status as a top-tier Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program.
In U.S. News’ 2026 Best Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) Programs, Seton Hall holds the No. 1 spot among New Jersey’s private universities and places in the top 15 among Catholic colleges and universities.
“Seton Hall’s B.S.N. program continues to be recognized nationally, a testament to our tradition of excellence in nursing education,” said College of Nursing interim dean Kristi Stinson, Ph.D., R.N., A.P.N.-B.C. “From launching the state’s first baccalaureate nursing program in 1937 to today, we continue to shape the future of the profession.”
Record NCLEX-RN Exam Pass Rates
Graduates of Seton Hall’s B.S.N. program achieved a record 97.4 percent first-time
pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) in 2024 — the highest
in program history.
Stinson credits the strong pass rates to the College’s comprehensive approach to licensure preparation, which she says is embedded throughout the B.S.N. curriculum.
“At Seton Hall, B.S.N. students build critical judgment skills through active learning, state-of-the-art simulations and real-world clinical experiences,” she noted. “Our graduates are well-prepared for success on the NCLEX-RN exam and a strong start as nursing professionals.”
A.B.S.N. Earns Top Ten Faith-Based Ranking
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (A.B.S.N.) program — a 14-month, 62-credit cohort model for students with a non-nursing bachelor’s
degree — was ranked No. 8 among the 2026 Best Faith-Based A.B.S.N. Programs by RegisteredNursing.org, further highlighting Seton Hall’s success in nursing education.

Offered at the University’s Freehold, N.J., location (fall and spring starts) and at the Interprofessional Health Sciences campus in Nutley, N.J. (spring start only), the A.B.S.N. program prepares students to deliver evidence-based care across diverse healthcare settings, from community-health agencies and ambulatory care to acute and long-term facilities.
