Center for Sport Management
The Center for Sport Management offers some of the leading business degree programs in sport management in the country. This interdisciplinary program includes courses in sport law, management, marketing, economics and finance, and prepares students for positions in professional and intercollegiate athletics and the industries that serve them. Students gain exposure to all facets of the business of sport, including sport sponsorship relationships, team and league equity issues, player management labor relations, and a wide variety of ethical dilemmas facing business professionals in both professional and amateur athletics. Charles Grantham, director of the Center Sport Management, is joined by Josh Harris, founder of Apollo Global Management and co-founder of Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment which owns the Philadelphia 76er’s (NBA) and New Jersey Devils (NHL). Harris discusses the sports industry's recovery from COVID, diversity in the industry, and the intersection of sports, social justice and politics.

M.B.A., Sport Management
Unlike hospitality/tourism or kinesiology/physical education programs, our sport management
concentration pairs with an M.B.A. degree—a distinct advantage. Our broad-based program
combines a strong core curriculum with electives that let you map your own path, and
we keep the whole thing streamlined to just 40 credits.

Faculty
Faculty include three Ph.D.'s — one with an interest in the ethics of sport, another interested in sport financing and a third with an interest in professional sport franchises. There is also a practicing attorney and an Emmy Award-winning sports broadcaster. More »
Sport Management Student Association (SMSA)
The Sport Management Student Association (SMSA) is open to any Seton Hall undergraduate student who is interested in the sport business.
