Seton Hall’s STEM-Designated M.S. in Professional Communication and Digital Media Arts program helps students develop their digital, interpersonal, media-related and organizational skills — in one year!
The program emphasizes learner individuality through the exploration of projects and topics unique to each student while participating in emergent experiences with a cohort of energetic colleagues seeking to build a network of professionals in various communication fields.
The M.S. in Professional Communication and Digital Media Arts can benefit individuals at all stages of their career, including recent graduates who have completed an undergraduate degree in communication, media studies or a related field; professionals seeking career advancement who are already working in the communication or media industries; and individuals interested in switching careers.
Because of its STEM designation, students will also engage in the development, examination and innovative application of digital technologies as part of their studies.

Admissions Requirements
To be considered for admission, applicants are required to submit the materials below. International applicants are welcome.

- A personal statement (up to 550 words, about 2 pages)
- Your official transcript(s) from all institutions attended - including pre- and post-baccalaureate coursework
- Your GRE or Miller Analogies Test (MAT) scores (waivers available for qualified applicants)
- Two (2) letters of recommendation

Curriculum Overview
This 30-credit program — with courses offered both online and in-person — builds foundational pillars of corporate communications, allowing students to hone their skills in giving presentations, conducting research, strategic communication, and more.
The M.S. in Professional Communications and Digital Media Arts is designed to be completed over two regular semesters and a summer sequence, giving busy professionals the opportunity to earn credits outside of working hours, while allowing recent graduates to quickly earn their post-graduate degree and begin working professionally.
The program’s collaborative nature allows for a specialized mentorship focus where students will benefit from one-on-one relationships with scholars and professionals in the field. Students culminate their experience with unique capstone projects that reflect their diverse interests and career aspirations while meeting the rigorous criteria associated with STEM programs.
