College of Arts and Sciences
With the exponential growth of big data, companies increasingly need data scientists to extract insights from massive datasets. Our M.S. in Data Science program enhances your ability to not only understand data, but transform it into actionable insights that drive business strategy and decisions.
Through an emphasis on computer science, statistics and applied mathematics, students receive training in advanced data techniques core to any data scientist role such as data mining, statistical modeling, machine learning and data visualization.
A hybrid, 30-credit program, the program can be completed in as little as 16 months, with courses offered on-campus and online. Hands-on projects further expose students to cutting-edge techniques in data science and analytics. And, students learn to automate processes using advanced cloud computing and machine learning platforms – fundamental for handling the ever-increasing volume of data across industries.
Plus, through partnerships with industry giants like Barnes & Noble, Google, Facebook, Chase and Amazon, students can apply their comprehensive learnings in real-world projects and internships.
