- Supports first or second-generation Arab American undergraduate students studying Data Science or Data Analytics (including Computer science with a focus on machine learning) at any accredited university/college in the United States.

Almowafir Business Scholarship Fund
- Almowafir will provide a $1,000 scholarship to one student who is currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a business school for the 2022-2023 academic year. This scholarship fund is intended to reduce student’s financial burden associated with attending business school. In order to apply for the Almowafir $1,000 scholarship, please write an essay of 1000 words or less about why you are pursuing a business career? and how you plan to use your degree for your community’s betterment. If you’ve past experience in serving a community yourself or for others, we would love to hear about how that experience helped you to make a decision to pursue a career in business.

Bosterbio Scholarship for Young Scientists
- For students with an interest in pursuing or continuing a 2 to 4-year academic program related to Biology or Biotechnology.
- Award:The $1,000 (USD) scholarship will be awarded to one passionate student, with the aim of reducing some of their day-to-day financial obstacles so they can focus on their studies.
Christianson Grant
- For U.S. citizens and permanent residents between the ages of 18 and 28 who have already arranged to participate in a minimum 6-month work, internship, or volunteer abroad program. The grant program does not support independent research projects, academic study abroad programs, missionary work, or religious programs.
- Award: Ranges between $2,500 and $10,000.
Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals
- For U.S. citizens and permanent residents who will between 18 and 24 years of age at the beginning of the program. Applicants must have completed their general coursework in their intended internship field, as well as have some relevant work experience. German language proficiency is preferred but not required. Intended for students in business, vocational, scientific, engineering, technical, and agricultural fields, though applicants from all fields are encouraged to apply. Participants complete a one-year work-study fellowship involving extensive German language training and a five-month internship in a German-speaking work environment.
- Award: A full-year scholarship including round-trip transatlantic flight, university tuition, language training, living stipend, and program-related travel costs in Germany, and health and accident insurance.
Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholar Contest
- Submit your original artwork, photo, or computer graphic to be placed on the front of a greeting card. For graduate or undergraduate students. For citizens and legal residents of the U.S., including international students with a valid student visa.

Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund

Ford Foundation Diversity Fellowships
- Undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate excellence, a commitment to diversity, and a desire to enter the professoriate. U.S. citizenship required.
- Award: Approximately 60 Predictor Awards at $20,000 per year for up to three years. Approximately 35 Dissertation Awards at $21,000 for one year. Approximately 20 Postdoctoral Awards at $40,000 for one year.
Gardiner Foundation Scholarship

Kathryn Davis Fellowships for Peace - Middlebury Language Schools
- For all students studying or wanting to begin studying Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, Japanese, Portuguese, or Russian. Applicants must also submit an application to one of the Middlebury Language Schools. Intended for students with demonstrated interest in one of the following areas (although students studying other subjects are still invited to apply): international, global, or area studies; international politics and economics; peace and security studies; and/or conflict resolution.
- Award: Covers the full cost of summer language study at a Middlebury Language School, including tuition, room, and board.
Kayal Scholarship for Arab American Students in Social Sciences
- Supports driven and talented Arab American/MENA undergraduate students studying a social science, with a preference to students being the first in their family to attend college. Eligible students must attend an accredited university or college in New Jersey, USA or NYC-Metro area.
- Award: $1,000-$2,500 and is renewable for up to four years.
Lem Garcia Personal Injury Scholarship
- Any current, full-time aspiring attorney currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in law school for the 2024 academic year can apply for this scholarship.

Life Lessons Scholarship Program
- Open to all students between the ages of 17 and 24 who have experienced the death of a parent or legal guardian, and who are a legal resident of the United States (including Puerto Rico). Applicant must submit an essay or video about how the death of their parent or legal guardian effected their life.

Project Firefly Contemporary Affairs Essay Competition

Roothbert Fund Scholarships
- For graduate and undergraduate students of any major. Preference is given to those who can satisfy high scholastic requirements and are considering careers in education.
- Award: Grants are small (averaging $2,000-$3,000) and are meant to be supplementary. Aid is given for the ensuing school year.
Schepp Foundation Scholarship
- For U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Open to undergraduate students under age 30 and graduate students under age 40 who are full-time students and demonstrate financial need, academic ability, and exemplary character. Requires a minimum GPA of 3.2 and an interview in NYC.
- Award: Up to $8,500, with possibility to apply for renewal for additional years.
- Applicants must submit a 1200+ word essay on “Organic Living and Its Impact on Single-Parent Families” by March 30th, 2024.
- Award: Award: $2,000 USD to a single parent enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university who advocates for organic nutrition and sustainable living.
United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Scholarships
- UNCF offers many different scholarships with a variety of requirements; opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students in a wide range of majors. All require at least a 2.5 GPA; some require 3.0 GPA or higher. For most awards, students may be of any race unless otherwise noted. Although many of the opportunities are not open to SHU students since we are not a UNCF institute, there are always a number of scholarships open to students at any university.

Although a food stipend is also provided, students are encouraged to bring along an extra $500 to cover expenses. Successful participants who stay involved with the organization after program completion also become eligible for a number of professional fellowships.
For Juniors
The Harry S. Truman Scholarship
- This prestigious award is for high-achieving juniors. Applicants must have a minimum 3.7 GPA, be in the top 25% of their class, and have the ability to demonstrate their past community and/or public service, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. Candidates who become Truman Scholars are required to engage in a public service career path for at least three of the seven years following their graduate study.
- Award: Up to $30,000 towards graduate-level study.
Humanity in Action Fellowship
- For sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent graduates of any nationality. Participants spend 5 weeks over the summer in Europe exploring national histories of discrimination and resistance, as well as examples of issues affecting different minority groups today. - Outstanding juniors, seniors, and graduate students interested in researching the intellectual and institutional foundations of a free society. Criteria: academic performance, potential for success in scholarly field, and relevance of work to fellowship mission. Requires a $25 application fee. Fellowships usually go to citizens of U.S., Canada, and U.K.
- Award: More than 100 awards provide up to $12,000 for undergraduate or graduate study in the United States or abroad.
Paul R. Flynn '90 /M.P.A. '96 Memorial Scholarship
- Available to Seton Hall Students only!
- Students who are enrolled as a major in the College of Arts and Sciences, in their junior or senior year, demonstrate need, and demonstrate a commitment to community service.
- Award: $12,500 a year per student, up to $25,000. The award will go to two juniors, or one junior and two seniors.
Wiesel Prize in Ethics Contest
- Full time juniors or seniors interested in analyzing complex ethical issues in an essay. The website provides a list of suggested topics.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship
- For seniors and graduate students of any major interested in graduate-level study at the University of Cambridge. Applicants must have a 3.7 GPA, significant leadership experience, and the desire to use their knowledge to improve the lives of others. Applicants may be citizens of any country other than the U.K.
- Award: Covers tuition, living expenses and international transportation.

- Seniors and recent graduates interested in studying at Oxford or another UK university. Must be a U.S. citizen, and have at least a 3.7 GPA plus an exceptional record of leadership and service. One of the most prestigious and competitive of the national scholarships. Requires SHU endorsement.
- Award: Supports two years of study in the UK, including tuition, living and travel expenses, and research. Up to 40 scholarships awarded each year.
Paul R. Flynn '90 /M.P.A. '96 Memorial Scholarship
- Available to Seton Hall Students only!
- Students who are enrolled as a major in the College of Arts and Sciences, in their junior or senior year, demonstrate need, and demonstrate a commitment to community service.
- Award: $12,500 a year per student, up to $25,000. The award will go to two juniors, or one junior and two seniors.
Rhodes Scholarship
- For graduating seniors and recent graduates interested in graduate work at Oxford University and leadership development. Must have a 3.7 GPA, and demonstrate a superior level of achievement and drive. A highly prestigious award. SHU endorsement required. For U.S. citizens.
- Award: 32 American Rhodes Scholars receive tuition and living and travel expenses for two to three years of study at Oxford University. The Rhodes is offered in 19 countries.
Soros Fellowship for New Americans
- For graduating seniors, recent graduates, or current graduate students who are new Americans, including resident aliens, naturalized citizens, or children of naturalized citizens. Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic record, creativity, initiative, capacity for accomplishment, and a commitment to the values and ideals of American citizenship. Applicants must be 30 years old or younger as of the application deadline.
- Award: Thirty fellowships each provide up to $25,000 in maintenance grants and up to $20,000 in tuition support for each year of graduate study supported, a total of as much as $90,000.
Teach for America
- Graduating seniors from all backgrounds with at least a 2.5 GPA and an interest in teaching in critical needs schools. Candidates must show evidence of leadership, perseverance, and the ability to motivate others. Must be a U.S. citizen or have national/permanent resident status.
- Award: Placement as a full-time teacher for two years at full pay. Includes transition grants and $4,725 educational award at the end of each of the two years of service.
- USA Today All-USA College Academic Team
- Juniors and seniors. Must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and evidence that the applicant can apply ideas and intellectual skills outside the classroom in ways that benefit society. U.S. citizenship not required. Requires SHU nomination.

For Graduate Students
Alfa Fellowship Program
- For American and British citizens who will be between 25 and 35 years of age on the application deadline. Requires a graduate degree or equivalent work experience in business, economics, journalism, law, public policy, or government, and at least two years of relevant work experience. Russian language proficiency is preferred, but qualified candidates with fluency in a second language may be considered. Participants serve an 11-month fellowship during which they receive extensive Russian language training, seminar programs, and professional experience in the U.K./U.S. and Moscow.
- Award: All programs are covered, as well as travel and housing expenses. A monthly stipend and insurance are provided.
Aldrich Brunot Law Scholarship Fund
- $500 scholarship to an aspiring lawyer who is currently enrolled in law school or plans to enroll in the 2024 academic year. The purpose of this scholarship is to reduce some of the financial strain of pursuing a legal education.
- Write 1000 words explaining why you want to become a lawyer and how you intend to use your degree to advocate for justice in order to be considered for the $500 Aldrich Brunot Law Scholarship. Gates Cambridge Scholarship
- For seniors and graduate students of any major interested in graduate-level study at the University of Cambridge. Applicants must have a 3.7 GPA, significant leadership experience, and the desire to use their knowledge to improve the lives of others. Applicants may be citizens of any country other than the U.K.
- Award: Covers tuition, living expenses and international transportation.

- Outstanding juniors, seniors, and graduate students interested in researching the intellectual and institutional foundations of a free society. Criteria: academic performance, potential for success in scholarly field, and relevance of work to fellowship mission. Requires a $25 application fee. Fellowships usually go to citizens of U.S., Canada, and U.K.
- Award: More than 100 awards provide up to $12,000 for undergraduate or graduate study in the United States or abroad.
Peace Corps Master's International
- College graduates interested in complementing a Master's degree with service abroad in the Peace Corps. Must be accepted by participating graduate program and the Peace Corps. For U.S. citizens.
- Award: Students receive college credit for service as a Peace Corps volunteer plus transportation and living expenses while living abroad.
Presidential Management Fellowship
- For Masters' students who will have finished their degree requirements by the end of the current academic year. Criteria: breadth and quality of accomplishments, leadership, and commitment to public policies and programs. For U.S. citizens, with some exceptions.
- Award: 2-year placement in government service, depending on qualifications. Possible assignments: public policy and administration, domestic or international issues, information technology, human resources, health and medical sciences, law, financial management, and many other fields. 400-700 awards each year.

Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program
- For U.S. citizens who will be between 23 and 34 years of age on the application deadline. Requires a graduate degree or equivalent training in business administration, journalism, law, public policy, international relations, or a closely related field, and at least two years of relevant work experience. No German language ability is required, but applicants must be willing to participate in language training. Participants serve a 9-month fellowship during which they have the opportunity to experience two high-level work phases at leading institutions in Germany, customized to their interests. Past host institutions have included federal and local government, private corporations, media outlets, and NGOs. German language training is also provided in the U.S. and in Germany.
- Award: Travel and language training expenses are covered, and a 2,000 euro monthly stipend and insurance are provided. For those traveling with a spouse and/or children, financial support for such accompanying family, including 50% of travel costs, supplemental living stipend, health insurance, and limited funding for language training is also provided.
Soros Fellowship for New Americans
- For graduating seniors, recent graduates, and current graduate students who are new Americans, including resident aliens, naturalized citizens, or children of naturalized citizens. Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic record, creativity, initiative, capacity for accomplishment, and a commitment to the values and ideals of American citizenship. Applicants must be 30 years old or younger as of the application deadline.
- Award: Thirty fellowships each provide up to $25,000 in maintenance grants and up to $20,000 in tuition support for each year of graduate study supported, a total of as much as $90,000.

- Applicant must have caddied for at least two seasons. Scholastic achievement, CEEB SAT Scores, qualities of character and leadership, length of service as a caddie, and financial need are the selection criteria. Attendance full-time at an accredited college or university is required.

Summer's Family Military and First Responders Scholarship
- For undergraduate and graduate students studying full- or part-time at Seton Hall. Students must have unmet financial need and a minimum 2.75 GPA. Combat and non-combat veterans, the children of veterans, police officers/firefighters, and the children of police officers/firefighters are eligible. All applicants must complete their FAFSA form and have it on file with the university by March 1st.

American Indian College Fund Scholarships
- A variety of scholarships for full-time undergraduate and graduate students with American Indian ancestry. Applicants for all scholarships must be U.S. citizens who are registered as a member of a tribe or a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member. A minimum 2.0 GPA is also required. Additional requirements vary by scholarship; see website for more details.

Daughters of the American Revolution American Indian Scholarships
- Two different scholarships for applicants who are U.S. citizens of Native American descent (proof of American Indian blood is required by letter or proof papers). DAR American Indian Scholarship is for undergraduate or graduate students and requires a minimum 2.75 GPA. The Frances Crawford Marvin American Indian Scholarship requires a 3.0 GPA and is for full-time students only.

- The HSF Scholarship is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a university

Native American Scholarship Fund
- For full-time students who are 1/4 or more degree American Indian, and are an enrolled member of a U. S. tribe. "U. S. tribe" is defined as federally recognized, state recognized, or terminated. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must extensively apply to as many other funding sources as possible. This award is intended to supplement other funding. Awards are available for students majoring in math, science, computer science, engineering, education, business, counseling, school administration, finance, economics, and management.

New Jersey World Trade Center Scholarship
- For full-time undergraduate students who are dependent children and surviving spouses of New Jersey residents who were killed in or who died as a result of the terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001 or who died as result of illness caused by exposure to the attack sites. Eligibility to apply is limited to eight years from the date of the child's high school graduation and eight years from the date of death for the spouse.
