American Alliance of Museums

The American Alliance of Museums’ (AAM) mission is to champion museums and nurture excellence in partnership with their members and allies. AAM has been bringing museums together since 1906, helping to develop standards and best practices, gathering and sharing knowledge, and providing advocacy on issues of concern to the entire museum community.

The Central States Communication Association (CSCA) promotes the communication discipline in educational, scholarly, and professional endeavors. CSCA strives to unite and educate people with both an affinity to the central region of the United States and a scholarly interest in all areas of communication for promotion of their mutual goals and advancement of their field.

Eastern States Communication Association

The Eastern Communication Association (ECA) encourages the study, criticism, research, teaching, and application of the artistic, humanistic, and scientific principles of communication. As a distinguished service-oriented organization with a history of achievement in research, criticism, communication theory, and excellence in teaching, the association welcomes members who share the goals and objectives of a membership dedicated to participation in state, regional, and national activity.

Institute of Museum Ethics

The Institute of Museum Ethics promotes accountability, responsibility, and sustainability in museums. By facilitating conversations about critical ethical issues facing museums, the Institute has built a community of emerging and practicing museum professionals and museum professions faculty who share resources and make informed decisions about ethical matters.

National Communication Association

The National Communication Association (NCA) works to advance communication as the discipline that studies all forms, modes, media, and consequences of communication through humanistic, social scientific, and aesthetic inquiry. NCA is dedicated to fostering and promoting free and ethical communication. By supporting the research and teaching interests of the scholars, teachers, and practitioners who are its members, NCA promotes the widespread appreciation of the importance of communication in public and private life.
