Assistant Professor of Communication Ruth Tsuria, Ph.D., to Be Featured Panelist on Upcoming ICCJ Webinar, 'Digital Interreligious Dialogue?'

According to Philip A. Cunningham, Ph.D., Professor of Theology and Director of the Institute for Jewish-Catholic Relations, the panel discussion was created to explore the possibilities and pitfalls of moving interreligious dialogue onto an online platform in times when in-person conversation is impossible.
Tsuria commented on the importance of this ongoing dialogue, saying, "Especially in these times of national and international turmoil, it's important to consider the ways in which we can approach dialogue. I am honored to have been invited to this event, and proud to represent Seton Hall at the international level."

About the panelists:
- James Caccamo, Associate Professor of Theology and Religious Studies and Associate Dean for Students and Experiential Learning at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, USA. He specializes in the ethics of information and communication technologies.
- Ruth Tsuria is Assistant Professor in the College of Communication and the Arts at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, USA. She studies the intersection of digital media, religion, and feminism with a focus on developing theoretical tools to understand online discourse.
- Tara Zammit is the Communications and Digital Media Officer at the Woolf Institute in Cambridge, U.K. She develops, maintains, and facilitates the Institute's various webinar series and its website and social media channels and also teaches in its international online programs.
About the International Council of Christians and Jews:
Initiated at the famous Seelisberg Conference in 1947, the ICCJ today serves as the
umbrella organization of 40 national Jewish-Christian dialogue organizations world-wide.
The ICCJ together with its member organizations around the world has been successfully
engaged in the historic renewal of Jewish-Christian relations over the last seven
decades and brought theologians, historians, educators as well as grassroots initiatives
into its work. In recent years the ICCJ and its members have increasingly engaged
in the Abrahamic dialogue: the encounter between Jews, Christians and Muslims. Through
its annual conferences and other consultations the ICCJ offers a platform where people
of different religious backgrounds examine current issues across national and religious
boundaries, enabling face-to-face exchanges of experience and expertise. The international

Jewish thinker Martin Buber lived until Nazi persecution forced him to flee the country.
The College of Communication and the Arts currently offers two master's-level programs. The M.A. in Communication program is designed to instill students with critical communication skills associated with human interaction and to develop essential research practices. Students can choose from three specific areas of study, Communication Technologies and Digital Communication, Communication in Organizations, and Public Relations. The M.A. in Museum Professions program is designed for individuals interested in pursuing careers in museums or related cultural institutions. The curriculum provides opportunities to study in several advanced content areas, including Education, Management, Registration and Exhibition Development.
In addition, the College offers accelerated B.A./M.A. programs and a dual M.A. degree with the School of Diplomacy and International Relations.
