About the Office
The Internal Audit Department of Seton Hall University exists to assist University management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Regents in the effective discharge of their responsibilities. The Internal Audit Department serves as an independent unit responsible for examining and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the University's accounting, financial, IT and operating systems policies, procedures and internal controls. The scope of the Department’s responsibilities includes efforts to ensure:
- Reliability and integrity of information
- Minimize risk to the University
- Safeguard University assets
- Compliance with University policies and procedures, governmental laws and regulations.
The Internal Audit Department reports to the General Counsel for administrative purposes and functionally to the Audit Committee of the Board of Regents of Seton Hall University.
The department provides support to the entire enterprise and seeks to ensure best practices are in place.
