Dr. Hoffman hold an M.F.A. in film production and Ph.D. in communication from New York University. He supervises the curriculum in computer graphics and teaches courses in Digital Photography, Computer, Graphics, Multimedia and related subjects. Hoffman has taught at Seton Hall University since 1971 and his college textbook, Computer Graphics Applications, was published by Wadsworth Publishing in 1990. His short animation "Leaves in Space" was shown at the New York Film Festival and his multimedia work includes Vietnam War Portfolio: An Interactive Learning Resource, featuring over 100 photographs taken by him during the Vietnam War combined with commentaries contributed by visitors to his Web site. He has participated in several jury selected group photographic exhibits.
Dr. Hoffman was born and raised in Rahway, N.J. and resied with his wife and family in Morristown, N.J.

Accomplishments
Grants:
- 1986 New Jersey Computers in Curricula grant continuation ($85,000). Additional funds used to expand the instructional capabilities of the computer graphics laboratory.
- 1986 New Jersey Committee for the Humanities grant ($10,000) to Mendham, N.J. Library, for the publication of a boo on Mendham Architecture for which I was exclusive photographer. The book has 150 photographs and was distributed to all libraries throughout New Jersey.
- 1984 New Jersey Computers in Curricula grant ($135,000) for the establishment of a Computer Graphics Laboratory at Seton Hall University. Designed a multi-station, microcomputer facility to allow Communication, Art, and Business students to study the application of computer graphics in their respective areas.
