Father Sansevere was married for 39 years to his wife, Susanne. He is a retired Jersey City Police Sergeant and was ordained a deacon for the Diocese of Trenton for 20 years. He spent 15 years as a parish administrator after his retirement, and after his wife's death he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Trenton. He is currently the Pastor of St. James in Pennington, St. Alphonsus in Hopewell, and St. George in Titusville. Father Sansevere has taught homiletics and given lectures in the art of preaching for more than 15 years. He is the Chaplain for the Jersey City Police Department, the Jersey City Police Emerald Society, and the National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies. He was a chaplain at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for seven years. This experience led Father Sansevere to pursue and achieve the degree Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling.
