Anthony Troha, Ph.D.

Faculty Associate
Department of Physics

Dr. Troha received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Theoretical Physics and a Master of Science Degree in Condensed Matter Physics from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. He subsequently went to California, where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Microwave Engineering and a doctoral degree in Applied Science from the University of California at Davis while performing his thesis research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Since 2005, he has been a professor in the Department of Physics at Seton Hall University.

Dr. Troha’s present research interests include theoretical and numerical studies of relativistic electron-photon interactions, comprising laser-driven particle accelerators and novel X-ray sources for bio-medical imaging utilizing non-linear Compton scattering, Mathematical Physics, Quantum Electrodynamics, theoretical modeling of the electronic structure of molecules and the complex phenomenon of ice crystal formation and growth.
