Being involved for over 20 years in the area of Athletic Training has allowed me to
experience the field in a variety of ways. As a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC),
I worked my way through the ranks of Kean University, first as a graduate assistant
then as the Assistant Athletic Trainer. I then branched out on my own at Lenape Valley
Regional HS, becoming their first ATC. All the while, I taught as an adjunct in both
the biology and AT areas, as well as taught high school anatomy and physiology.
In 1996, I embarked upon the new adventure of directing the Master of Science in Athletic
Training (MSAT) program at Long Island University (LIU), creating and accrediting
the program while working on my Ed.D. in Applied Physiology at Teachers College, Columbia
University.
Finally, I arrived at Seton Hall University (SHU) in 2005. Here at SHU I am able to
utilize all my accumulated skills to date and lead the MSAT students through their
research experience. My lines of research currently include autonomics, exercise physiology
and athletic training topics.
