Catholic Studies Hosts Virtual Symposium on Faith and Racial Justice - Seton Hall University
Friday, September 18, 2020
The Core is happy to co-sponsor (along with Student Services Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Religious Studies, Campus Ministry, and the Law School), the Center for Catholic Studies' Symposium on Faith and Racial Justice, occurring virtually next week.
Dr. Kelly Harris, Director of the Africana Studies Program at Seton Hall, will be the first of several important speakers on the topic of how faith connects with racial justice. The last speaker, Rev. Bryan Massingale, is the author of the reading "What is Racism?" -- part of the curriculum for Core I, as a supplement to Dr. Martin Luther King's "Mountaintop" speech. Many faculty are participating and making the event into an assignment for students.
