The Seton Hall University Data Governance Council (SHDGC) is charged by the President to oversee the strategic management of data across the institution and ensure its effective and responsible use. This charge outlines the purpose, responsibilities, and composition of the SHDGC.
Data Governance is generally defined as the processes, management, and standards that promote the availability, quality, and security of the University’s data. It identifies the data partners and prioritizes the direction of the committee. A key objective of the SHDGC is to create an actionable, well-defined, sustainable, and adaptable data governance framework.
