Women in Leadership Speaker Series
Empowering Women, Engaging All
The Women in Leadership Speaker Series will bring together accomplished leaders from
across industries to share their journeys, insights, and lessons learned. This series
invites students, faculty, staff, alumni and the broader community to engage in meaningful
dialogue around leadership, resilience, and impact.
The Women in Leadership Speaker Series is designed to:
- Highlight authentic stories of women leaders in corporate, nonprofit, academic, and entrepreneurial sectors.
- Foster mentorship and collaboration between students, faculty, alumni, and professionals.
- Promote inclusive leadership development and reinforce Seton Hall’s mission to prepare principled leaders who make a difference.
- Unify campus programming—from Women’s History Month to classroom speakers—under a shared brand and purpose.

Who Should Attend
The series is open to all members of the Seton Hall community who are interested in
learning about inclusive leadership development, collaborating among women’s leadership
groups on campus and off, and engaging in mentorship and allyship opportunities.

her 3 social impact ventures and focusing on entrepreneurship, branding and the power
of purpose-driven leadership. Prior to founding her own ventures, Maertens served
as deputy director at the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE),
overseeing a diverse network engaged in environmental education on a global scale.
Additionally, she played a key role in designing the first corporate social responsibility
portfolio at The Walt Disney Company, mobilizing millions of young individuals worldwide
to take positive action.
