Library Services for Graduate Students

University Libraries are dedicated to supporting graduate students at every stage of their academic journey. From specialized research assistance to extensive digital resources, our libraries offer tools and expertise to enhance your studies and support your scholarly goals. Graduate students have access to personalized consultations with research librarians, exclusive databases, interlibrary loans, and quiet study spaces designed to foster productivity. Whether you’re working on a thesis, dissertation, or exploring new areas of research, the library is here to provide resources, guidance, and a collaborative environment to help you succeed.

Electronic Thesis or Dissertation Update

Graduate students working on a thesis or dissertation are encouraged to read the Libraries' Dissertation and Thesis Guidelines, even if you have not started your thesis or dissertation yet. A checklist can be found under the "Start Here" tab of the guide; please download the checklist and keep it on hand throughout your time at Seton Hall. The checklist clearly details steps students need to take to successfully submit their dissertation or thesis to the Libraries. The Libraries are also holding various in-person and virtual workshops throughout the semester for graduate students. Topics include how to submit your dissertation or thesis to the Libraries, copyright and permissions, how to use APA, and data use and ethics, among many more.
