The Office of International Programs Welcomes New International Student Advisor

The Office of International Programs is delighted to introduce Yuanrong Gao, our dedicated International Student Advisor, who brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to supporting our international student community. Yuanrong's journey began as an international student herself, arriving in the United States to pursue her master's at Adelphi University. This personal experience ignited her passion for helping other international students to navigate the complexities of studying abroad. With over a decade of teaching and advising in K-12 education settings, Yuanrong has now transitioned to higher education, fulfilling a long-held aspiration.
"As we strive to grow Seton Hall's global presence, the Office of International Programs remains dedicated to providing exceptional support for our international students. We are delighted to welcome Yuanrong Gao to our advising team," said Mary Kate Naatus,Ph.D., assistant provost and dean of Continuing Education and Professional Studies. "Her unique perspective, having been an international student herself, adds invaluable insight and empathy to her role."
In her role, Yuanrong provides comprehensive support and advice on a wide range of issues, including employment, visas, enrollment, and travel. Her deep understanding of the challenges faced by international students enables her to offer empathetic and personalized guidance, ensuring each student receives the help they need to succeed both academically and personally.
Outside of her professional life, Yuanrong is a devoted pet owner with a cat and a dog. She is also an avid traveler, constantly seeking new experiences and cultures to enrich her understanding of the world.
Yuanrong's commitment to individualized advising aims to help students achieve their academic and personal goals, making their journey at Seton Hall as smooth and rewarding as possible.
