Join the entire Seton Hall community in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15–October 15, 2024. The month-long initiative will include virtual highlights of members of the Seton Hall community, academic and artistic work, as well as events that explore the diversity of Latin American descent, history, food, music and more!

Newark's Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart
The Office of Hispanic Ministry of the Archdiocese of Newark welcomes us all to attend
its annual Hispanic Heritage Mass on Friday, September 8, at 8 p.m. in Newark's Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Cardinal Tobin will preside over

Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration

The Township of Union is proud to be hosting its Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration
where they celebrate the culture, achievements, and contributions of Hispanics and

Again) celebrates our multicultural community with a diverse tapestry of backgrounds,
stories, and experiences. All West Orange Arts Council (WOAC) member artists who would

Art Exhibit Silenced Voices - Cuban, Nicaraguan and Venezuelan artists

In the framework of the UN General Assembly 2023, Freedom House is pleased to invite you to our specially curated art exhibit Silenced Voices, an immersive art gallery experience where the creative expressions of artists and human rights defenders from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela converge. Notable artists and human rights defenders like Luis Manuel Otero Alcantara (Cuba), Rosalia Miller (Nicaragua), and Victor Navarro (Venezuela) will contribute to this remarkable exhibit.
The art exhibit will be hosted at the Blue Gallery, 222 E 46th St, New York. Doors open to the public on Monday, September 18 at 12:00 pm and the exhibit will run through Tuesday, September 19 at 2:00 pm.
As part of this artistic experience, we are featuring two special events.
- Unveiling Her Story: Women Defying Repression - Panel held on September 18, 2023, at 4:00 pm. The panel will focus on the courageous journeys of women defying authoritarianism, repression, and torture in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Through the lens of personal experience, this discussion will shed light on the challenges faced by women including political prisoners, survivors of torture and persecution, and the resilient mothers and wives affected by unthinkable loss. - Evening reception on September 18th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Blue Gallery. The reception will include a poetry reading and discussion by academic and poet Nicasio Urbina (Nicaragua), virtual participation of Gioconda Belli (Nicaragua), and an artistic performance by El B, Latin Grammy nominee, and member of Cuban rap duo "Los Aldeanos". NJCIC's 2023 Immigrant Children & Youth Walk

Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex, West Orange, NJ
Join the New Jersey Consortium for Immigrant Children (NJCIC) for its NJCIC’s 2nd
Annual Immigrant Children & Youth Walk, a walk by young people for young people and
the communities that support them. The track around the pond at Essex County South
Mountain Recreation Complex is 1.7 miles. Participants are invited to walk, stroll,
or roll. At NJCIC, it is believed that voices of children and young people must be
at the forefront of advocacy for immigrant youth. Join the celebration of the voices of young allies in this work.
