Father Briceno is an Adjunct Professor for the Core Curriculum Department at Seton Hall. He motivates students to develop their critical thinking skills through discussing the most important questions in life. His courses draw upon various philosophical and theological authors. Questions addressed in his courses include, among others: Is there a meaning to suffering? What do we know of the divine or transcendent? How do we understand the just, the right, the call to do good? What is love?

Father Briceno is also an Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Theology at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology at Seton Hall University, teaching Spiritual Theology and Christian Anthropology courses for the Center for Diaconal Formation. His theological background and higher education teaching experience provides him with the tools needed to form future deacons in the human, intellectual, pastoral, and spiritual areas of formation.

Aside from his philosophical and theological knowledge, Father Briceno is passionate about languages and cultures. His ability to manage both English and Spanish has given him the creativity and eagerness to teach his native tongue, Spanish, as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at Seton Hall. Father Briceno loves to teach students not only to think critically but also to understand, speak, and learn how to communicate in Spanish.

In addition to teaching, Father Briceno serves as a board member at Holy Apostles College and Seminary, where he advises the president rector on academic affairs such as accreditation, strategic planning, mission, vision, and finance. Father Briceno also was invited to be a member of The Association of Theological Schools’ Commission on Accrediting; in this role, he contributes to the quality and excellence of theological education in North America.

Father Briceno holds a doctorate in higher education leadership and administration from Saint Peter's University (2021), where he researched and wrote about "the relationship between student grades and student evaluations of professors and its impact on faculty practices." He also holds an Ed.S. in education leadership, management, and policy (2017), and an M.Div. from Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology, Seton Hall University (2012).

Father Briceno has continued learning. He recently received an Online Teaching Certificate at Seton Hall University (2023). Through this program, he explored: Competencies in online teaching, Quality Matters and course design; Learning objectives and course alignment; Engagement strategies; Accessibility; Assessments and feedback.

Father Briceno has developed an understanding of the importance of teaching, methodology, curriculum, assessment learning, enrollment management, student life, federal and state policy, accountability, assessment, and financial models for community colleges, colleges, and universities today. He is passionate about advancing the mission and values of Catholic higher education and fostering interfaith dialogue and understanding among diverse learners and communities.
Father Briceno serves as Pastor of St. Anthony Church in Northvale, NJ.
