Division of University Relations
Responsible for the University's strategic communications delivery and distribution,
including advertising, marketing, public relations, and media relations, using integrated
communication media including digital, print, video, and social media. The Assistant
Vice President leads integrated teams to develop and enhance strategic direction and
prioritization of content and messaging activity to key external audiences and within
the University.
Provides strategic development and implementation of integrated advertising, marketing,
media relations, and communications, maintaining consistent messaging, focus, and
branding across University communications. Advises, prepares, implements, and monitors
the success of the University's media relations, content marketing, communications
platforms, lead acquisition and development campaigns, and social media plans to drive
brand visibility and constituent engagement.
Develops and leads a team with a comprehensive range of media relations, marketing,
communications, and digital expertise; guides project management; continually develops
and improves in-house expertise and services; serves as a liaison across the University
to align marketing and communications objectives and implement strategic initiatives
across multiple departments and divisions.
Provides long-term guidance and analysis of emerging trends, opportunities, and institutional
needs in interactive marketing and web technologies. Regularly audits metrics of marketing
materials and technology tools. Gathers data to develop strategic goals. Leads key
digital communications and web governance initiatives, provides crisis communications
support, and acts as Seton Hall University's Electronic and Information Accessibility
Coordinator and Chief Social Media Officer.
Manages a strategic media relations team and program, providing guidance and oversight
to ensure the University's relationships, communications, and image are effectively
established and nurtured.
