Adam Kuczynski, Ph.D./J.D.

Bridging theory and practice through experience, teaching, and research.
Adam Kuczynski Ph.D./J.D. brings a mix of practical and academic backgrounds – working
and/or serving in local and federal government, community groups, private industry,
and nonprofit organizations. He joined SHU after serving as the MPA Director at Villanova
University.
While always focusing on public service, he earned a doctorate from Rutgers University,
Juris Doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, an MBA with a focus on International
Business from Villanova University, an MPA from Villanova University, a Master's in
Communications from Monmouth University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism (Minor:
Political Science) from Penn State University.
His experience includes serving as an attorney; editor; nonprofit communication director;
communications associate within the Executive Office of the President; and an elected
official.
Dr. Kuczynski's current research interests include first-generation students and administrators;
transparency/communication in government/business/nonprofit partnerships; decision-making;
and volunteerism/philanthropy.
