Friday, October 13
10 a.m. - 2 p.m. ▸ Seton Hall Weekend Information Table
University Center and Bethany Hall Lobbies
University representatives will be on hand to answer questions, help you locate activities
and hand out Seton Hall giveaways. We will also collect items for the Division of
Volunteer Efforts (DOVE) Philanthropy Project. Items needed include men’s socks, toothpaste,
toothbrushes, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, sanitary napkins, bar soap and winter
gloves.
11:30 a.m. ▸ Meet and Mingle Welcome with Monica Burnette, Ph.D.

Monica Burnette, Ph.D., will discuss how the Division of Student Services helps students
become successful in and out of the classroom, in their relationships with faculty
and friends and in their growth and development toward a chosen career. Coffee will

Noon - 1 p.m. ▸ Lunch and Learn: Historical Overview of Diversity at Seton Hall

Join us for lunch while learning more about the history of diversity and inclusion
at Seton Hall, presented by Alan Delozier, D.Litt., Humanities & Outreach Librarian and Adjunct Professor of Catholic Studies, and Ghana Hylton, Director of the Campus
Inclusion & Community Space and Business Affairs. Lunch will be served at the cost
of $10 per attendee. Register online.
1 - 2 p.m. ▸ Mini Open House Hosted by Division of Student Services

Stop by the mini open house session to meet with representatives from different areas
of the Division of Student Services. Attendees will have the chance to win prizes
after completing the Student Services scavenger hunt. Register online.
2 - 3 p.m. ▸ Campus 'Then and Now' Tour
Meet under the Rotunda outside Walsh Library
Alan Delozier, D.Litt., University Archivist and Adjunct Professor of Catholic Studies
will lead a “Then and Now” tour of the Seton Hall campus. Register online.
3 - 4:15 p.m. ▸ Donuts with the Deans
Main Event Space, University Center
Stop by the newly renovated event space at the University Center to meet and mingle
with the deans, while enjoying some delicious donuts! Register online.

7 - 10 p.m. ▸ Firepit Friday
University Green
Join the Student Activities Board (SAB) for Camp Pirate and spend a crisp autumn evening
around a firepit with your student. Enjoy a movie under the stars, s’mores-inspired
treats and other camp-themed activities. We will be showing Elemental and will begin
the movie at 7:30 p.m. First come, first served.
Saturday, October 14
8:30 - 9:30 a.m. ▸ 39th Annual Farinella 5K Run
Farinella Gate Starting Line
Check-in begins at 7:45 a.m. in the parking lot near the art building. Any walk-in
registrations on race day must be completed by 8:15 a.m. The starting line is at Farinella
Gate. The first 100 runners on race day will receive a free t-shirt at check-in. Register online.
10 - 11:15 a.m. ▸ Family Welcome Breakfast

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a game of Seton Hall Kahoot!
(mobile device required) for a chance to win prizes. Breakfast is $10 per person.

10:30 a.m. ▸ Basketball Practice Facility Groundbreaking Ceremony
Athletic Center
Join the University community, men’s and women’s basketball and Seton Hall Athletics
as we break ground on the new basketball practice facility.
11 a.m. - 4 p.m. ▸ WSOU at 75: The Voice of Seton Hall Art Exhibit
The Walsh Gallery, 1st floor – Walsh Library
Found on the 1st floor of the University Libraries, the exhibition explores the history
of Seton Hall University’s award-winning radio station WSOU, from the award-winning
broadcast on April 14, 1948, to the present day. Objects from the university archives
and object collections will be on display, as well as materials on loan from alumni
and WSOU.
11 a.m. - 3 p.m. ▸ Technology Showcase
Beck Rooms and Space 154, First floor of Walsh Library
The Teaching, Learning, & Technology Center will be showcasing various emerging technologies
including 3D printing, virtual reality, coding with sphero robots, and green screen
technology using our Chroma Key wall. This be held on the ground floor of the Walsh
Library inside the Beck Rooms & Space 154.
11 a.m. ▸ Seton Hall Swim Relay Race
Arthur E. Imperatore Natatorium
The Seton Hall Men’s and Women’s swim programs are teaming up to participate in a
fun relay challenge! All Seton Hall fans and alumni are welcome to stop by the pool
to cheer them on.
11:30 a.m. ▸ Welcome Kickoff
Main Stage, University Green. Rain Location: Pep Band will perform at the Richie Regan Recreation Center. Dr. Passerini
will welcome guests right before the women’s basketball game in Walsh.
Join Katia Passerini, Ph.D., Interim President of Seton Hall as she kicks off the
day’s festivities. Get in the Seton Hall spirit as the Seton Hall cheerleaders and
pep band showcase their crowd-pleasing performances.
11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. ▸ Carnival Games and Activities on the Green
University Green. Rain Location: Carnival Games will be on the University Green under awnings and the
trackless train will transport guests from the Recreation Center to University Center
and to the Green if weather conditions allow. Arts and crafts activities will be inside
the Field House and in front of Walsh Library.
Compete against your family for a prize in carnival games or show off your artistic
side at the arts and crafts activities. There will be games, inflatable rides, and
a variety of activities for all ages.
11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. ▸ Division of Volunteer Effort University Weekend Philanthropy Project
University Green. Rain location: Field House.
Stop by DOVE's table on the Green and help assemble care packages for families in
need. Attendees are encouraged to bring care package items or donate online. Items
needed include men's socks, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, razors, shaving cream,
sanitary napkins, bar soap and winter gloves. The care packages will be donated to
local organizations directly serving individuals and families experiencing financial
and housing insecurity, including St. John’s Soup Kitchen, IFPO, Pierre Toussaint
Food Pantry, & the St. Francis Inn.
11:30 - 5 p.m. ▸ Seton Hall Weekend Buffet Galleon Room
University Center
Enjoy an all you can eat gourmet buffet in our campus dining facility at $11 per adult
and $7 per child under 12. Pay at the door.
Noon - 4 p.m. ▸ Alumni and Family Headquarters

Stop by the Alumni and Family Tent to reconnect, relax, and enjoy light refreshments.
New and gently used Halloween costumes, masks, costume accessories, and candy pails
or treat bags will be collected for donation to Jersey Cares.

1 p.m. and 3 p.m. ▸ Seton Hall Theatre Council Presents: Alice
University Center Theatre
Join us for Seton Hall Weekend's annual tradition of family-friendly children's theatre
productions by the students of the Theatre Council! This year's show is a one-act
adaptation by Lindsay Price of the famous novel by Lewis Carroll, where Alice follows
the white rabbit down the rabbit hole into Wonderland and meets a cornucopia of strange
creatures. There will be two performances, each approximately 45 minutes long. Admission
is free to all Seton Hall Weekend attendees and seating is first-come, first-served.
Directed by Kelsey Kaelin. Performed and produced by the students of the Seton Hall
Theatre Council.

4 - 8 p.m. ▸ South Orange Village HOLA Fest 2023, the Hispanic Heritage Month Cultural Event -Event Cancelled Due to Rain.

and craft beer festival hosted by the South Orange Village.
5 - 6 p.m. ▸ "Keeping College Students Faithful & Fed” Discussion and Cooking demonstration with
Father Leo from Plating Grace

Father Leo Patalinghug, host of the food and travel show “Savoring Our Faith” and
winner of the season 7, episode 1 Throwdown with Bobby Flay, will provide an inspirational
message about faith, food and family while doing a cooking demonstration. Limited

10-year anniversary event. The event will feature an engaging panel discussion with
esteemed alumni who have made their mark in the gaming industry. Reconnect with fellow
club members and alumni, and explore the newly revitalized gaming lab, offering cutting-edge

South Mountain Reservation
Enjoy a moderate-level hike through South Mountain Reservation with a guide from Campus

Please note that your student must be included in the registration cost for the events requiring a fee. The exception would be the University Weekend Buffet where students may use their meal plan.
University Bookstore Hours
Don't forget to stop by the University Bookstore while you are visiting campus.
