Over 4,000 students and alumni participated in more than 125 career programs (resume/interviewing,
career education/assessment, networking forums and career fairs).
Over 1,500 individualized career advising/counseling sessions were held with students
and alumni.
Career-based Experiential Education Participation
81% of 2022 graduates participated in a university-sponsored, career-based experiential
education program (Internship, Clinical, Practicum, and/or Student Teaching). The
School of Diplomacy and International Relations, College of Education and Human Services,
College of Nursing, Criminal Justice Majors and Sport Management majors are required
to complete career-based experiential education programs to fulfill degree requirements.
Internship Highlights
92% of intern employers said they would work with their intern again if circumstances
permitted.
98% of students said that their internship provided a valuable learning experience.
Career Status of Graduates
Within six months of graduation, the overall career-related employment rate for 2022 graduates
was 98.5%.
2022 Baccalaureate Graduates: Graduate School Acceptance Rate was 98%.
Mentor Programs
The Career Center hosts a robust Pirate Mentor Program, consisting of Seton Hall University
alumni who are available to answer career questions, serve as industry mentors, and
coach students as they prepare to enter the world of work.
Employer Recruitment
Close to 350 organizations attended career recruiting events that included the On-Campus
Interviewing Program (OCI) and multi-school career fair collaborations. Campus recruiting
events targeted specific industries and included two annual campus wide Career Fair and
networking events in Finance, Sports, Entertainment, and Marketing. Multi-school collaborations
included an Equity & Inclusion Multi-School Hiring Event and a multi-school Virtual
Education Career Fair. Four organizations participated in The Career Center’s On-Campus
Interviewing Program (OCI) during the 2021-2022 academic year.
28 organizations participated in The Career Center’s On-Campus Interviewing Program
(OCI) during the 2016-17 academic year.
Web Based Career Resources
Career resources include online career assessments, an online system that posts thousands
of employment opportunities (part-time, internship, and professional), web-based resume
writing and interviewing practice system, tutorials, and a variety of career and industry
research tools.
Alumni
65 alumni represented their organizations at career fairs and networking forums and/or
served as program presenters and on-campus interviewers.
The Career Center offers Handshake a dedicated job board.
The Career Center managed an extensive alumni career mentor program (Pirate Mentors).
The Career Center collaborated with Alumni Relations to present career-related webinars
for Alumni.
