Student Life
Catholic Studies is dedicated to ensuring students equally nurture and balance their spiritual and social activities with their academic pursuits. There's always something fun to do at Seton Hall whether you're hanging out with friends at the new University Center, attending Mass at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, catching the nearby train to New York City or working out at the new, state of the art fitness center.
There are also more than 100 student clubs and organizations at Seton Hall. Catholic Studies is proud to sponsor and/or partner with many of these groups to help provide additional opportunities for students to connect with others and build lifelong friendships outside the classroom. Catholic Studies Club
The Catholic Studies Club (CSC) supports the program of Catholic Studies through a myriad of intellectual, spiritual, social and service activities that help bridge the study of Catholicism with all the other disciplines and professions taught at the university.

Delta Epsilon Sigma
Delta Epsilon Sigma is a national scholastic honor society for students, faculty and alumni of colleges and universities with a Catholic tradition. It was founded in 1939 to recognize academic accomplishments, to foster scholarly activities and to encourage a sense of intellectual community among its members.
The Department of Catholic Studies sponsors Alpha Mu, Seton Hall University's chapter of Delta Epsilon Sigma (DES). Visit Alpha Mu's webpage to see if you're eligible to join.
DOVE (Division of Volunteer Efforts)
Seton Hall University's Campus Ministry Division of Volunteer Efforts is one aspect of the university's response to the ongoing call for social justice.
DOVE's aim is to raise the awareness of the Seton Hall community to social injustice through direct involvement in serving others. This service stems from their desire to affirm the dignity of all people and to live as Christ taught by putting faith into action.
DOVE encourages all members of the Seton Hall community, regardless of faith or service
background to get involved.

FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students)
FOCUS is present on Seton Hall University's campus as a resource for students desiring to learn more about their faith and how to apply it to every facet of their lives. Through FOCUS, Bible studies are available on campus for all students, as well as other various activities and opportunities.

Saint Paul's Outreach
Saint Paul's Outreach (SPO) actively invites college students to a life of Christian
discipleship. With Saint Paul as their example, they create vibrant, faith-filled
environments that challenge students to deepen their relationships with Christ in
the fullness of the Catholic Church.
SPO brings Catholic Faith Alive on Campus through:
- Weekly "Spirit Nights"
- Men's and Women's nights
- Small groups
- One-on-One meetings with students
- Weekend retreats
- Men's and Women's Households, located close to Seton Hall's campus

Bernard J. Lonergan Institute
The Center for Catholic Studies' Bernard J. Lonergan Institute at Seton Hall University is dedicated to the study of Bernard Lonergan's ideas and their application in contemporary culture. In addition to ongoing research and scholarship, the Institute is proud to sponsor graduate study, faculty and student reading groups, ongoing programs and the publication of the internationally acclaimed journal - The Lonergan Review.

Micah Institute for Business and Economics
Seton Hall's Micah Institute for Business and Economics operates under the aegis of the Center for Catholic Studies. Its mission is to introduce faculty, students, and the business community to the Catholic perspective on business and economic life. It seeks to present the multiple ways in which these two interactive and vital engines impact the lives of all individuals personally, communally, and professionally and offers a comprehensive understanding of Catholic Social Teaching, exploring economic justice, key social issues and the world of work.

The G.K. Chesterton Institute for Faith & Culture
The Center for Catholic Studies' G.K. Chesterton Institute promotes G.K. Chesterton's call for a deepened moral and social imagination through conferences, lecture series, research, writing and through the publication of the journal, The Chesterton Review. In addition, the Institute promotes Chestertonian thinking through television, radio, the press and the stage.

Arcadia
Arcadia is an annual Journal for Faith and Culture that is edited by students and the Department of Catholic Studies faculty of Seton Hall University. It offers a vehicle were both undergraduate and graduates can contribute to the ongoing "dialogue between the Catholic Tradition and all areas of contemporary culture."
