Shajina Anand, Ph.D.

Department of Mathematics and Computer Science
Shajina Anand teaches Computer Science and Cybersecurity courses for B.S. in Computer Science and M.S. in Data Science programs at Seton Hall University. She has over 10 years of experience cutting across the IT industry, academics, and research. She holds a Ph.D. from Anna University, India, and she has specialized in authentication and security on cloud computing. Her research interest is in Ethical hacking, cyberattacks, and cyber detection.
She is instrumental in setting up the cybersecurity lab at The Seton Hall University, enabling students and researchers to explore real-life cyber scenarios. Shajina is a reviewer for research papers in international journals – Springer and Elsevier.
She is the recipient of a university grant through ‘New Jersey’s opportunity meets Innovation challenge program’ to study the experiences of women in computer science.
She is a quick learner and is actively handling subjects Cybersecurity & Ethical hacking, functional Programming with Dr. Racket, Data structures, Operating Systems, Data Engineering, Object-oriented Programming, etc.
