Faculty Sabbaticals

College Faculty are familiar with the concept that their responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, and service. Traditionally, colleges offer qualified faculty the option of a sabbatical, a period (usually one or two semesters) during which they are temporarily relieved of teaching and service duties and concentrate on an in-depth research project. These sabbaticals are often opportunities to work with colleagues and resources in other parts of the country and the world; Seton Hall's faculty have often combined their sabbaticals with Fulbright Awards or other prestigious fellowships.
