Faculty Sabbaticals
College Faculty are familiar with the concept that their responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, and service. Traditionally, colleges offer qualified faculty the option of a sabbatical, a period (usually one or two semesters) during which they are temporarily relieved of teaching and service duties and concentrate on an in-depth research project. These sabbaticals are often opportunities to work with colleagues and resources in other parts of the country and the world; Seton Hall's faculty have often combined their sabbaticals with Fulbright Awards or other prestigious fellowships.
For more than two decades, faculty returning from sabbatical have included reports of their work in the Sabbatical Panorama. The most recent editions of this publication are available here.
