Communications to Students

The Financial Aid Office communicates to our students via email and PirateNet. All notifications are emailed to the students SHU email account. We assume that students are monitoring the account and will respond appropriately to any and all requests.

Examples of things that would be emailed are listed below:

  • Award Letters
  • Missing Information
  • Selection for Verification
  • SAP notifications
  • Scholarship loss

We also utilize PirateNet for students to see what requirements are outstanding and/or being requested. Our students have access to PirateNet 24 hours a day.

Missing information can be found under the Financial Aid requirement section. This can be done by going to the Profile and Finances Tab. In the Financial Aid section click on View Financial Aid Requirements

Students also have access to view there Academic progress for Financial Aid in PirateNet. This can be done by going to the Profile and Finances Tab. In the Financial Aid section click on View Academic Progress.
