- Cooking Appliances Including Toasters, Hot Plates, Electric Woks, Electric Skillets, Air Fryers, Rice Cookers, Broilers, Deep Fryers, Barbeques, Grills, Panini Presses, Griddles, or Any Others with a Heating Element/Open Coils
- Candles, Incense, Fireworks, and Other Open Flame Items
- Plug-In Air Freshener
- Space Heaters
- Extension Cords/Multi-plug Outlet Adaptors or Appliances with Built-In Power/Outlets/USB ports
- Curtains/Shades/Blinds or Any Window Treatment (blinds are installed in each room)
- Wall Decor Covering More than 25% of the Walls
- Upholstered Furniture Larger than 2x2'.*

- Any upholstered furniture must meet CAL TB117-2013 fire rating.

- Live Christmas Trees/Wreaths/Garland
- Lithium Battery Chargers and/or Operated Vehicles Including Electric Scooters, E-Bikes, Hoverboards, etc.

Notes:
- All Residence Halls are Air Conditioned.
- Halogen lamps and multi blub lamps are prohibited.
- If you plan to bring an electrical item or piece of furniture that is not on this list, please contact our office at (973)761-9172 to be sure it is permitted.
